For those who are planning to upgrade here is the latest info!
Microsoft GP 2018 R2 is scheduled to release on October 1, 2018!
There are 4 theme areas below with a few highlights beneath each. These are just highlights, they are many more.
Feature of the day should start in a couple of a weeks.
Financial Enhancements
Exclude items in HITB with zero quantities

Payroll Pay code start and end dates
Payroll shared maximums for deductions and benefits

Note: This means that at year end time all customers on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 will consume Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 when they install the year end update!
You will notice a new word that is getting more visibility and on the roadmap called Intelligent Edge.
When you install Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 you will see a new tab on your home page talking about Intelligent Edge.
With this release, you can take some of your master record GP data (customers, vendors, items, accounts) and put the data in the cloud with Business Central. More detail to come, but gives you an high level overview.
- Upgrade blog series / year end blog published and ready to kick off in September.
- New Jersey and Maryland tax update to release end of month.
- There are some major changes to the Payroll federal W4 form. We are reviewing those changes and will publish them around year end time.
- VAT MTD (Making Tax Digital) Will be included in the year end update for Dynamics GP 2018 and GP 2016
- BP timecard issues upgrade
Some cases were created after a windows update causing issues with BP , review the BLOG for details, upgrade off of GP 2013 and BP is a good plan at this point . - Updated Road Map with information for GP 2018 R2 listed.
7. Any GP 2013 customers need to upgrade, there is no year end planned for GP 2013, taxes ended as of April 2018.
Support is still seeing cases come in for payroll customers on GP 2013. I encourage you to get them upgraded as soon as you can.
