Dynamics GP 2015 R2 Visual Indicator for Customer Over Credit Limit

Reminder:  Dynamics GP 2010 is no longer a supported version. There will be no Year End Update and no further tax table updates for this version.

For those of you who are still waiting to schedule your upgrade to Dynamics GP 2015 R2, I will review another feature.

Dynamics GP 2015 R2 Visual Indicator for Customer Over Credit Limit

There are two optional features available with Dynamics GP 2015 R2 that will help notify your staff that a customer is over their Credit Limit.

Go to Sales >> Setup >> Receivables to open Receivables Management Setup.

Mark the box: Display Over Credit Icon to have the system show you a visual icon when you select a customer that has gone over their Credit Limit.

Display Over Credit Icon

Here is an example of a customer (AARONFIT0001 – Aaron Fitz Electrical) that has gone over the specified credit limit. Note the Warning icon when you look at their Customer Maintenance Card.

You will see the same warning icon when you select the customer in Inquiry

You will also see the warning icon when you run a SmartList for your Customers:

Mark the box: Warn If Customer Over Credit to have the system give you a warning screen when creating a transaction for a Customer that has gone over their Credit Limit.

Once you mark this box, if you have a customer that is over their credit limit, you will see a warning screen when you try to enter a new transaction for this customer.
