Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 General Ledger Combine Inquiry Windows
One of the new enhance features available with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 General Ledger Combine Inquiry Windows.
In previous versions you could not view both open and historical data for summary or transactions in the same inquiry window.
In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 Summary Inquiry has been enhanced and will now let you view Summary Balance Inquiry for an open year, or a Historical year. No need to select another window for Historical Summary Inquiry.
Now by going to Financial >> Inquiry >> Financial >> Summary you can view Current or Historical year Summary:
First I selected a Historical Year
Fiscal Periods Historical Year
Summary Inquiry Historical Year
And then by choosing a different year (current year) from the drop down, you can choose an open year without changing to a different menu option.

Summary Inquiry – Current Year
In addition to the Summary inquiry being updated. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 Detail Inquiry has also been enhanced and will now let you view Detail Inquiry for open transactions in an open year, or Historical Transactions in a Historical year. No need to select another window for Historical Detail Inquiry.
Go to Financial >> Inquiry >> Financial >> Detail you can view Historical year Summary:
