When upgrading to GP 2010 R2, you will want to make sure that you configure the Reporting Tools Setup window under Microsoft Dynamics GP>>Tools>>Setup>>System.  If you do not have this window configured, you will receive the message below which reads “Could not connect to configuration report.  Do you want to change your configuration?”  If the Reporting Tools Setup window is configured prior to the upgrade, the Dynamics GP Utilities will automatically upgrade the SQL Reports to be GP 2010 R2 compatible.

Configuration

Typically, this message will appear if you haven’t configured the Reporting Tools Setup window before the upgrade.  If you go to the SSRS report wizard that was previously used, it will not work anymore after the upgrade to actually deploy the proper GP 2010 R2 reports.  The good news is that the wizard has actually been combined into the Reporting Tools Setup window as shown below.  All you need to do is insert the Report Server and Report Manager URL’s and hit the Deploy Reports button.
